He actively participated in the establishment of the Artistas del Acero Cultural Center while residing in Concepción and employed by the Huachipato Magazine in 1959. Additionally, he established and oversaw La Cascada Pottery Studio, which had a consistent location at the base of Hill Caracol and in Ecuador Park. He taught ceramics courses at that location. He was awarded with the Municipal Prize for Art and Literature by the Municipality of Concepción in 1961, in recognition of his profound artistic contributions and significant role in the advancement of Penquista art and culture. He worked in this workshop until 1965.
